I just had to go to the Irvine RAnch Water District Website because my parents lived in Irvine for many years. When I visited them I of course drank water. Now I get to see a photo of the beautiful Irvine Lake which accomodated myself and my parents. We should all know where our water comes from, eh?

Yes, it certainly would be a good thing.
Now, I live in Olympia, and sadly, but true, I am not even sure of the sources of all of my city water. (Although, I think it is primarily from some springs, and groundwater sources.)

Ever hear of a sverdrup? It’s a unit of water flowing in an ocean current. See http://www.ecoworld.com/blog/2007/07/27/sverdrups-brine/
